At what age can I perform the Dog DNA Scan test?
You can perform the test at any age of the dog, you just need to be careful when choosing the type of sample and sampling. We do not recommend taking oral mucosa swabs from puppies younger than 8 weeks (before weaning) due to the possibility of contamination between the mother and puppy and between different puppies in the litter. If you want to test puppies before weaning, we recommend that you send us blood samples or dried blood spots (a few drops of blood) on sterile gauze or special blood cards, which can be taken from the claw or ear.
